Sputnik patterned brooch in Tasmanian myrtlePatterned side of the easel/gift box for my Sputnik patterned brooch

Sputnik retro-patterned brooch

Category: Tags: , , ,

This brooch features the background pattern from my Champagne Moment card. The sputnik-like shape that forms the base of the pattern is derived from champagne glasses (the old-fashioned coupes) rotated around a bubble, but quite a few people think it looks like coffee beans. In my view, both beverages are worthy of celebration!

The brooch comes in a sweet box-like envelope that folds out into an easel-style card or stand, perfect for keeping this little treasure on display.

I’ve designed this range of simple retro shapes for those who like my patterns but might not want to wear an animal brooch, since rabbits, sheep, cows and platypus feature quite prominently in my range so far. They’re also a bit of a nod to the mid-century modern movement, of which I am particularly enamoured.

Made from Tasmanian Myrtle veneer, which has a lovely grain and a beautiful warm, reddish-brown hue.

Please note that every sheet of veneer is unique and as such, your purchase may differ from the example pictured in terms of the natural grain of the wood.
